The Creative Mind Exhibition
The Creative Mind is an Art Exhibition that was first hosted in Vaughan, Ontario in 2023. Co-founders, Madeline Rose Fiore and Rebekah Rizzo developed the creative mind when working on a short film together and realizing the importance of having a creative community to help lead and inspire each other.
Their mission is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their talent and courageously share their work alongside others. They aim to inspire and uplift others through their passion and creativity, knowing that if they can ignite the spark of inspiration in at least one person, their efforts are meaningful and worthwhile.
This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, July 6th from 6 pm-11 pm at Assembly Park

Saturday July 6, 10:30am (1h long), meet at Assembly Park Garde
Please note we will be meeting at Assembly Park Garden for this walk. This program is done in partnership with Assembly Park and YRFN. A limited number of Nature Backpacks will be available on-site for customers to checkout with their Vaughan Public Libraries card. All ages are welcome! There will also be nature-themed activities available for younger children. Children are required to have adult supervision. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of the program for all participants we kindly ask that pets stay at home or explore the space independently. This program will take place outdoors (weather permitting), so wear comfortable shoes and appropriate outerwear. Don’t forget to bring water!

The Vaughan International Film Festival’s 2024 edition will be launching with their Student Screening taking place at Assembly Park on June 17th. It will feature 18 short films from the creative minds of high school students across the province. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for the attendees to connect with industry professionals at our networking event in the same venue. Food Truck’N Fridays
Food Truck’N Friday is a once a week celebration every Friday from 5-8 p.m.
Food Truck’N Friday has found a new home for the summer. The hugely popular food truck event series, which ran weekly from 2015 to 2022 in the GTA is back this summer at Assembly Park.
The expansive public space, located close to countless retail and transit connections, will feature a daily assembly of Toronto’s best food trucks from June 7 to Sept. 27, 2024. As part of this summer series, Food Truck’N Friday will be bringing its unique concept that combines food truck eats, artisans and entertainment to the park on every Friday.
“Food Truck’N Friday at Assembly Park is tapped to become a hot new summer destination for the Greater Toronto Area,” says Jason Bellissimo, Founder of Food Truck’N Friday and Principal at J.B. Innovative Solutions Inc. “You’ll find all the things you loved about Food Truck’N Friday in Etobicoke at our new home in Vaughan, and more! With our amazing partners at Assembly Park, we’re working on plenty of surprises that will bring the community together and make Food Truck’N Friday the go-to spot for delicious eats and family fun.”

To celebrate a fantastic first season of Dance Together Residencies and community dance workshop programming in partnership with Assembly Park and York Region Arts Council, we welcome you at the Summer Dance Assembly on June 8th, 2024.
Join us for a special event, co-curated by dance artists Katya Kuznetsova and Mellisa Hart. We’ll be offering FREE community dance and visual art workshops as well as dance performances featuring local dance artists. Meet some of the artists that are part of the Dance Together Residencies, try Bolly Yoga, Graffiti Art, Line Dance, Hip Hop and Bharatanayam and enjoy dance performances in Salsa, Bharatanatyam, Hip Hop, Mexican Folklore, Bollywood and more!

As part of Dance Together’s new 2024 season, they will be hosting several Open Studio events at Assembly Park. The first one is on January 27th, featuring community dance workshops in Line Dance, Bollywood, Bachata, Vogue, and Waltz. CariVaughan Reggae Fest and Taste the Caribbean
CariVaughan Reggae Splash is a 2-day outdoor music festival featuring live dancers, local Canadian musicians and international reggae artists. This festival is for us to come together to share our one love for the different sounds of reggae music. Reggae music was born in Jamaica however it has expanded to Afro, Latin, and Asian countries as well as the “Americas” rap. We look forward to presenting the different interpretations of reggae music!
Taste the Caribbean (TTC) will be the ultimate Caribbean 2022 2-day outdoor Culinary Tasting Experience. In showcasing 25 Caribbean Chefs from the BIPOC communities, TTC will consist of a 4-Course menu and Drink tasting experience. Patrons will pre-load a branded wristband with a dollar amount to pay for items they want to taste individually within the meal course area.
Each menu course area will feature 3-5 chefs with one chef from the BIPOC communities. Each Chef will curate one mouth-watering food/drink item for their station, specifically for the course of the meal and drink. Patrons will stroll through the different mapped course areas to enjoy the smell, sight and taste of the 15 dishes curated for the 4-Course meal and drink experience.
